Ring when time's up A soft chime, plus a desktop notification if you're in another tab. Has its own volume — turning the ambience down won't silence it.

Player

How much of YouTube you have to look at while you work.

Bare player Hides YouTube's control bar. Carrel draws its own play, scrubber, volume and fullscreen instead. You lose the quality menu — YouTube picks for you — and the subtitles button.

Either way, YouTube's wordmark stays visible while a video plays. Their rules forbid covering any part of the player, and the penalty is losing embeds — which would take Carrel with it.
